JJ’s Alley Bricktown Pub has been Oklahoma City’s go-to location for live music since opening in 2009. Hosting at least 10 shows a week, JJ’s Alley is proud to say they never have a cover charge and provide $2 beers until 7 PM as well as pizza served by the slice until midnight every day. On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, a 6:30 PM show starts downstairs, while the upstairs shows begins nightly at 9:30 PM. On Sundays, Acoustic Songwriter Swaps occur from 3 PM until the Open Mic starts at 8:30 PM.

Owner Jeff decided to go smokefree on April 1, 2016. He admitted the date could be perceived as an April Fool’s Day joke, but that the tough choice was no laughing matter. “The health of my customers and the musicians who perform here, and concern for my own health are the main reasons for going smokefree.” Jeff stated. “There will be many other benefits like not smelling so bad when I leave the bar and having a cleaner venue.” Musicians who frequent JJ’s Alley have expressed their excitement for the change, saying they are looking forward to performing at their best without the hinderance of secondhand smoke.

JJ’s Alley Bricktown Pub has been such a success in recent years that it became the birthplace and home of JJ’s Alley Records. With three compilation albums containing 52 original songs by 52 different artists who have performed at JJ’s, and a full length album of artist Samantha Rose, these records cannot be missed. The physical CDs, which were co-produced by Grammy nominated sound engineer Wes Sharon and guitar wizard Bart Weilburg, are for sale at at JJ’s Alley, GuestRoom Records, CD Baby and Amazon, while digital downloads are available on iTunes and CD Baby.
